Melissa S. Woods and Marcy J. Dunlap Present at the American Bar Association’s 2022 Midwinter Meeting of the Committee on Employment Rights and Responsibilities

On March 17, 2022, Ms. Woods and Ms. Dunlap will participate in panels at the American Bar Association’s 2022 Midwinter Meeting of the Committee on Employment Rights & Responsibilities.  Ms. Woods will participate in a panel entitled “Navigating Today’s Hot Topics with a Multi-Jurisdictional and Mobile Workforce.” The panel will discuss strategies for tracking developments, crafting policies, applying collective bargaining agreements, and implementing and maintaining compliant practices across a multijurisdictional workforce.  It will also discuss COVID-19 regulations and equal pay laws. Ms. Dunlap will participate in a panel entitled “COVID-19 Opioids: Legal Implications of Mandating Vaccination and Controlling Employee Usage of Opioids.” The panel will discuss the multitude of employee benefits issues associated with COVID-19, such as vaccination/booster programs and incentives, inadvertent creation of group health plans, and employer liability. From there, the panel will pivot to the U.S. opioid crisis.
