Cohen, Weiss and Simon LLP, together with Make the Road New York, files a wage and hour lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York against A.J.A. Car Wash

On July 29, 2015, Cohen, Weiss and Simon LLP, together with Make the Road New York, filed a wage and hour lawsuit on behalf of nine carwash laborers against a Queens, New York carwash that does business as A.J.A. Car Wash.  The lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and is captioned Yax v. Obhan, 15-cv-4425 (MKB) (VMS).  The complaint alleges numerous violations of federal and New York law, including that the carwash failed to pay its carwash laborers the legally-required minimum or overtime wages.
