SAG-AFTRA reaches first-ever historic tentative three-year collective bargaining agreement with Telemundo covering Spanish-language television performers

After 15 months of negotiations, SAG-AFTRA reached a historic tentative three-year collective bargaining agreement with Telemundo Television Studios.  The agreement, which will be presented to the SAG-AFTRA National Board for ratification on July 21, is the first collective bargaining agreement covering Spanish-language television performers in the United States. Cohen, Weiss and Simon LLP, SAG-AFTRA’s national counsel, represented the union in the March, 2017 NLRB election, the first NLRB election involving television actors in more than 60 years.  Cohen, Weiss and Simon LLP partner Susan Davis served as co-negotiator with SAG-AFTRA General Counsel Duncan Crabtree Ireland.   An article regarding the contract can be found here .
