Babette A. Ceccotti is serving on the American Bankruptcy Institute’s (ABI) Commission to Study the Reform of Chapter 11. The 23-member Commission was formed by ABI to conduct a comprehensive review of Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code, now 35 years old, and recommend changes to the law. The Commission has organized more than a dozen topic areas for study, including labor and benefits issues. More about the Commission may be found here. A Field Hearing on labor issues was conducted on March 14, 2013 and may be viewed at the Commission’s website.
