Robert S. Savelson joined the firm in 1964 and became a partner in 1970.
His practice extends over a wide range of areas within the labor field, including union governance, union strategic planning, collective bargaining negotiations, contract administration, union self-help, comprehensive and corporate campaigns, and alternative dispute resolution.
Mr. Savelson graduated from the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations in 1960, and has served on its Advisory Council for several years. He graduated from the Columbia University School of Law in 1964.
He is a fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and a member of the Labor and Employment Relations Association. Mr. Savelson was named as a Super Lawyer for Employment and Labor Law on the New York Metro 2006-2010 and 2012-2018 Annual Lists of Super Lawyers magazine.
Mr. Savelson has appeared as a guest lecturer at the Cornell School of Industrial and Labor Relations, Columbia Law School, NYU Law School and the Harvard University Trade Union Program.
